Letter from Clark's Business Administrator About Completed Property Assessments

Dear Clark Residents,

Letters have been arriving this week to homeowners regarding the findings from this year’s revaluation. As originally shared at the start of this process, we expected to see taxes on some homes go up, some down and others to stay steady.

After a revaluation, taxes in a town are revised and distributed based on current property values.  As a reminder, Township Administrators filed two lawsuits to avoid the revaluation.   We are complying with this process as required by the county and state.

Many residents had questions, so we created a spreadsheet to help. Open the link below and enter your current assessment in Box A and your proposed assessment in Box B.  Box H will display what your taxes would have been if the assessment was in effect for your July 2021 tax bill.

We hope this provides you with a better illustration of what the revaluations would have meant to your 2021 property tax bill if they had been in place earlier this year.  Residents are not responsible for any additional taxes in this calendar year as a result of this process.

Sincerely,

Jim Ulrich

Business Administrator
