The Township of Clark Has a New Mayor

Former Councilwoman Angel Albanese was selected by the Township Council to be Clark's newest Mayor during Tuesday night's public meeting. Councilman Bill Smith was sworn in as Council President and Steve Hund as Council Vice President during the course of the evening.

Clark BOE Accepting Applications For Free Full-Day Preschool Classes

The first full-day free preschool classes opened to Clark children this January after the Board of Education received a five-year grant from the state of New Jersey. All the details about the program can be heard in this recent interview with Superintendent Ed Grande and Board of Ed member Tom Lewis.

Preschool registration for the 2025-26 school year starting this September is now open. According to Grande, they "are planning to have preschool classrooms at Frank K. Hehnly School (FKH) and the Municipal Building, in addition to continuing to partner with KinderCare in Clark and Discovery in Cranford. All classes, regardless of location, will be taught by a certificated teacher and follow the same curriculum."
