Standing Together in Remembrance –   Please Join Our 9/11 Memorial Service

On Wednesday, September 11, our community will gather at Nelson Park to remember the lives lost on that tragic day in 2001. Among them was Clark resident and Port Authority Police Officer James Nelson, whose name lives on in the park where we meet. His sacrifice, and that of so many others, reminds us of the courage, unity, and resilience that carried our nation through its darkest hours.

This year’s service will include music, and a special tribute honoring each moment of that day. It is a chance for us to stand together—not only to honor the past, but to teach future generations the importance of remembrance.

We invite all residents to join us in reflection and solidarity. Please bring your family and neighbors; your presence will make this tribute even more meaningful.

Clark PD Will Continue  Bicycle/E-Bike Enforcement

The Clark Police Juvenile Bureau recently carried out a safety and enforcement detail at Clark Commons following numerous reports of juveniles riding bicycles and e-bikes in unsafe ways. Officers made contact with 15 juveniles, issued 19 summonses, and impounded two e-bikes during the operation.

Police Director Patrick Grady noted the purpose of these efforts, saying, “The Clark Police Department’s proactive enforcement is about more than issuing a summons, it's about protecting lives. This proactive approach to addressing dangerous behaviors will hopefully prevent a tragedy. Ensuring safety is our primary concern.”

Officials emphasized this was not a one-time operation. Similar enforcement will continue at Clark Commons and at other locations throughout the Township where violations are observed. Parents and guardians are urged to review bicycle and e-bike safety rules with their children to help prevent accidents and ensure compliance with the law.

The Clark Police Department reminds riders and parents to pay attention to posted signs and to follow all safety requirements.
