Clark Gathers in Rememberance of the 9-11

The Township of Clark came together on September 11 to remember and honor the lives lost in the tragic attacks of 2001. This year’s memorial service at Nelson Park featured moments of reflection, prayer, and community participation, including a moving timeline of the events of that day read aloud by members of the Township Council.

As flags were placed around the monument by police, firefighters, emergency personnel, and residents, the ceremony reminded us of the courage, sacrifice, and unity that define our nation in the face of tragedy. Special recognition was given to the late Port Authority Officer and Clark resident James Nelson, for whom the park is named, and to all first responders who continue to serve with bravery and dedication.

The program was recorded so that all residents can share in this important remembrance. You may watch the full ceremony on the Our Clark Media YouTube channel or by clicking any photo above.

Understanding E-Bike & Scooter Rules

In our continuing series on e-bike and scooter safety, we want to highlight the rules that apply here in Clark.

The chart below helps explain the different classes of e-bikes and scooters, along with their licensing and registration requirements. One important detail not included in the image is helmet use:

  • Class 1 & Class 2 E-Bikes: State law requires helmets for riders under 17. However, under Clark Township Ordinance 347-65, all riders—regardless of age—must wear a helmet when using these in town.

  • Motor Scooters (Class 3): State law requires helmets for all riders, regardless of age.

Please review the guide carefully to ensure you and your family are riding safely and in compliance with both state law and local ordinances.
