Sun, Music, & Community at Clark’s Senior BBQ

Clark’s senior citizens gathered for the township’s annual Senior Citizen BBQ on Monday, September 15, at the Deutscher Club. The sunny, beautiful afternoon set the stage for a lively celebration filled with good food, music, and community spirit.

A DJ kept the crowd entertained with favorite tunes, inspiring plenty of dancing and laughter throughout the day. Mayor Angel Albanese members of the Township Council, and local police officials joined the event, sharing in the fun and conversations with attendees.

In addition to enjoying the picnic atmosphere, seniors had the opportunity to receive flu shots on site, making the day both festive and practical.

The annual BBQ continues to be a cherished tradition in Clark, bringing together neighbors, friends, and township leaders for a day of connection, wellness, and joy.

Travel Alert: GSP Exit 135 Northbound Closing

Officials have announced that the northbound exit 135 on the Garden State Parkway will be closed for road work from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, through 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20. Motorists should plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time during this period.

Clark Police Highlight E-Bike Safety on TV36

This week on TV36, host Gina Rodriguez sat down with Captain Christian Lott of the Clark Police Department to discuss the rules, laws, and safety requirements surrounding bicycles and e-bikes. The interview highlights what every rider—and parent—needs to know.

Captain Lott explained that the department’s focus is on preventing accidents and keeping riders safe, not just issuing tickets. He also emphasized the importance of parents talking with their children about the rules and watching for posted signs throughout the Township.

NJ State Senior Freeze Program Update – More Residents Eligible!

The New Jersey Division of Taxation has recently updated the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement) program. For the 2024 Tax Year applicants now need to turn 65 by December 31, 2024—previously, the cutoff was December 31, 2023.

This change means more residents are eligible to apply! Don’t miss out—PAS1 applications for the 2024 are due by October 31, 2025. Applications are available online and in the Tax Collectors office.
