Special Self-Defense Seminar Offered Through Mayors' Wellness Campaign
Clark Township Recreation is proud to offer a special Self-Defense Seminar as part of the Mayors' Wellness Campaign, giving residents an opportunity to gain practical safety knowledge and build confidence in real-life situations.
The seminar will be led by Doug Storm, a 5th Degree Black Belt with more than 35 years of experience in martial arts and self-defense training. Mr. Storm specializes in situational self-defense for all ages and will focus on awareness, recognizing potential danger, and how to avoid appearing like an easy target. Participants will also learn about predator mentality along with basic self-defense and escape techniques designed to protect both individuals and families.
Families are welcome to attend, with the requirement that children must be accompanied by an adult. The program is open to the general public and is suitable for participants of all skill levels.
In addition to his extensive credentials, Mr. Storm operates a successful after-school martial arts program in Atlanta serving over 120 students, bringing a wealth of real-world experience and insight to the seminar.
This unique program supports the NJ Mayors' Wellness Campaign by promoting personal safety, preparedness, and community well-being. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity and empower themselves with skills that could make a critical difference.
