Dear Clark Residents,
I am excited to announce the launch of the 2022 Mayors Wellness Campaign which is designed to promote the health and wellness of all Clark residents. During the year we will provide opportunities for residents to gain knowledge and participate in physical activity and community events with the goal of promoting a healthy body, healthy mind, healthy spirit and healthy community.
This year, we plan to bring recreational programs, a weight-loss challenge, our first 5K walk/run, a health fair, concerts and much more to Clark’s campaign. Please follow our Facebook page @ClarkTwp and TV 36 for more information. Also sign up for news flashes at www.ourclark.com/notifyme and check out the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign section of our website under Community.
The MWC is an initiative of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute (www. NJHCQI.org). One of the main goals of the MWC is to improve the overall health and wellness of New Jersey communities. Through public-private partnerships the MWC provides structure and evidence-based resources for community health initiatives.
By encouraging mayors to play a leadership role in supporting opportunities for active and healthy lifestyles and incorporating the social determinant of health into all policies, New Jersey is becoming a national leader in community-based health interventions.
As mayor of Clark, I'm happy for our town to join this initiative.
Sincerely,

Mayor Sal Bonaccorso
