Councilman Steven M. Hund has been a resident of Clark since 1996 and currently serves as Council Vice President representing Ward 3. First elected in 2014, he has since been re-elected multiple times, most recently in 2022. Throughout his tenure, he has emphasized fiscal responsibility, including efforts to hold township budgets steady during periods of rising costs, while also supporting key community and infrastructure initiatives such as reservoir dredging and recreation improvements.
Hund brings more than 25 years of experience in employee benefits to his role, serving as Vice President at FNA Insurance Services. His expertise in health and life insurance, compliance, and benefits strategy has complemented his public service and leadership.
In addition to his professional and council roles, Hund has been deeply engaged in local athletics, coaching baseball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. He served as Treasurer and President of the Clark Travel Basketball board and as Treasurer for ALJ Boys Basketball. Together with his wife, lifelong Clark resident Cara Superak-Hund, he has raised three sons—Cameron, Brandon, and Aidan—who have been active in Clark’s schools and sports programs.
