Dear Residents,
Clark Department of Public Works crews have been working around the clock to clear approximately 70 miles of township roadways following the recent snowfall.
As a reminder:
Clark DPW handles municipal streets.
Union County manages county roads.
NJDOT is responsible for the Garden State Parkway.
Plowing began with an initial pass to ensure first responders could travel safely, then continued curb-to-curb, starting with major roads and moving into neighborhoods. Some streets were delayed due to fallen power lines.
This storm brought over 15 inches of wet, heavy snow, making plowing especially challenging. Large blocks of snow and ice may have accumulated along driveways and curbs this is unavoidable in storms of this size. Residents should plan to clear any snow left at the end of driveways.
Important reminders for residents:
Do not push snow back into the street.
Keep vehicles off streets while DPW continues work.
Plow crews will continue making additional passes until all roadways are fully cleared. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep the township safe and accessible.
